Sustainable, Local, and Certified

All of our kiln dried firewood logs are BSL authorised and fully certified under Defra’s Ready to Burn initiative. We take sustainability seriously. That’s why we only use locally sourced hardwood from well-managed, coppiced woodlands. This supports local forestry, reduces transportation emissions, and helps maintain healthy woodland ecosystems. We favour native hardwoods like ash, beech, and oak for their long-lasting burn, steady flame, and high heat output. Every log is responsibly harvested with long-term woodland health in mind.

Our Biomass Boiler and Kiln Drying Process

In 2018, we invested in a Glenfarrow biomass boiler and kiln system, enabling us to dry all of our logs on site. This system is fuelled by waste wood, meaning our drying process is not only effective but environmentally conscious. Every batch of logs is dried to a consistent moisture content of below 20%, meeting the legal requirements introduced in May 2021.After drying, our logs are stored in dry, ventilated barns to ensure they remain ready to burn. We continuously monitor moisture levels to maintain quality. This means you’ll receive a reliable, clean-burning fuel source that won’t let you down—even during the coldest months.
